Pollard trees: a symbol of ecological balance

Tree pollarding is an age-old practice. When trees are pruned regularly in this specific manner, they form cavities. These promote biodiversity by offering a refuge for insects, small mammals such as bats and dormice, and hole-dwelling birds, such as the little owl. Pollard trees play an essential role in the ecosystem of our Agrinature space. They help regulate water quality, reduce soil erosion and act as a carbon sink, actively fighting against climate change.
