Safety is central in everything we do
Our workplace accident frequency rate, currently at 2.69, is on track to meet our zero serious accident goal, covering all our employees and all other stakeholders, at all our worksites and other bases. We are aware of our responsibility to create the right conditions to keep everyone safe and in good health.
Induction and skill-building
To maximise safety, we provide every new employee with a presentation of the company, their site and their project, their tasks and the risks and safety measures pertaining specifically to expatriation.
Producing safely
The key to producing safely is a full understanding of the tasks we carry out at worksites. This involves analysing the risks at the design stage, making sure all the information reaches all the right people and that they understand it, discussing tasks beforehand as often as necessary (and at least on a daily basis), and checking that all tasks are being carried out correctly.
Our standards
We have health and safety standards to address the main risks in our areas of expertise, namely earthworks, drainage and civil engineering.
Our training courses
We provide safety training to keep everyone mindful of the dangers and to help them behave accordingly day after day. Our courses are for everyone, at every level in the company (production supervisory, management, executive and all other teams).
Safety Days to spread our safety culture
Safety Days throughout VINCI Construction help to solidify our safety culture and spread it across our projects, with one clear goal: zero accidents. We spend a week a year holding meetings with our employees, partners and subcontractors to discuss a specific topic (avoiding collisions between pedestrians and machinery, falls from height, driving accidents, etc.).
